The polls of Gustavo Petro's first 100 days in power, how did he do?

Two surveys show how the level of approval is going and evaluate the management during these 100 days of Gustavo Petro’s term as president.

A few days after the 100th day since Gustavo Petro assumed power as president of Colombia, two surveys by Invamer and CNC were published where they reveal approval, disapproval and evaluate the management to date.

The surveys were published by Invamer and CNC, while in one everything was favorable, in the other the expected results were not.

According to Invamer, the president’s management is approved by 49.7% of the population, while 42.7% disapprove.

There is a high percentage of difference with his predecessor, Iván Duque, who four years ago obtained an approval rating of 27% during his first 100 days in office.

It should be noted that in the regions where it obtained greater favorability were in the Caribbean with 60.4% approval, followed by Bogotá with 55.6%, while in the Central East region “it cracked”: 36.6% approve and 55.8% disapprove.

Regarding your flagship program «total peace», 51.2% of those surveyed agree while 44.3% say they are against it.

And about the Petro Government team, Vice President Francia Márquez got 74.5% approvalfollowed by the Minister of Finance, José Antonio Ocampo cwith 20.9% favorable.

What the CNC revealed

The National Consulting Center prepared 11 questions for 1,068 citizens on the management of Petro and the country’s issues.

According to CNC, the image of the president for 61% of those surveyed are positive, compared to 23% who are negative. As for his campaign partner Francia Márquez, it showed 63% approval and 22% disapproval.

To qualify the management during these 100 days of government 62% approve, while 26% do not.

Regarding country issues, for example in the factor 47% are optimistic about the economy, 50% about employment, 57% international relations, 53% total peace, the fight against crime 48%, the fight against corruption 51%, and the environment 67%.

Colombians also responded if they believe that the head of state cares about them, 56% said yes and 29% said no.
