The eighth day of the trial of the eight rugbiers accused of beating Fernando Báez Sosa to death in the seaside resort of Villa Gesell will include this Wednesday the testimonies of experts and members of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA) who intervened in the extraction and analysis of the material stored in the cell phones of the accused.
Judicial sources indicated that a dozen witnesses will appear this Wednesday from 9 o’clock before the Oral Criminal Court (TOC) 1 of Doloresafter the first seven hearings in which the victim’s parents, a dozen friends, police officers, custodians of the “Le Brique” dance venue, doctors and the rower Pablo Ventura and his father, among others, testified.
They will first declare Graciela Parodi, an expert who intervened in the extraction of blood samples from the clothes of the defendants and the victim.
then it will Norma Tramontini, who carried out chemical tests to determine if there was alcohol in Fernando’s blood, among other.
He will then testify César Guida, who was involved in the DNA analysis performed as part of the instruction.
They will complete the testimonials of the day between four and seven PFA personnel in charge of extracting and analyzing the almost two terabytes of information housed in the nine cell phones seized from the defendants at the time of their arrest.
At the same time, Fernando’s parents are expected to witness the statements in the courtroom on the first floor of the courts, as occurred during the previous sessions.
The eight defendants – Máximo Thomsen (23), Enzo Comelli (22), Matías Benicelli (23), Blas Cinalli (21), Ayrton Viollaz (23), and Luciano (21), Ciro (22) and Lucas Pertossi (23) – will also be present as since the opening of the oral debate.
