In a letter, sent to Vice Admiral Luis Lee Ballester, director of Immigration, the director of the police, Major General Ramón Guzmán Peralta, demands to prevent his agents from traveling abroad without having the corresponding authorization, as provided by the entity’s organic law.
The officer assures that article 161 of the regulations for the application of Law 590-16 of that law enforcement entity.
Police permission
That article, on authorization to travel abroad, says: “The director general of the Police may only travel abroad with the authorization of the President of the Republic, and must place command in the deputy director general of the National Police while he is outside the country. , in accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law of the National Police.”
