MADRID, Spain.- This May 1st HBO premiere the five-part miniseries White House Plumbersin which Cuban actors intervene Alexis ValdesTony Plana and Yul Vázquez.
Scripted by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck, the series, which chronicles the inadvertent sabotage of the Richard Nixon government in 1972 by former CIA and FBI agents, respectively, E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy”, Alexis Valdés plays Felipe de Diego, a Cuban-American real estate broker and navigator.
While Tony Plana plays Eugenio “Musculito” Martínez. It is worth noting that flatborn in Havana and emigrated to the United States as a child, has participated in some 70 films such as Officer and gentleman, Salvador, Three friends, Goal and Lone Star; and received the Best Actor Award in 2001 for the series Resurrection Blvd.
For his part, Yul Vázquez plays Bernard “Macho” Barker. For the cinema he has worked in Russian Doll, Undercoversy american gangster, among others.
In White House Plumbers the three are part of a group of secret agents at the service of President Nixon, known as “the plumbers.”
Alexis Valdés had announced on his social networks that the series has “everything at once”: “Humor, history, drama, great actors, impressive settings.”
The White House plumbers counts among its protagonists Woody Harrelson, recognized, among many others, for his leading roles in the film Natural Born Killers by Oliver Stone, and in the series True Detectiveand. As well as with Justin Theroux (Mulholland Drive, The Leftovers). They represent former CIA and FBI agents, respectively, E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy.
The British Lena Headey (who gave life to Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones), in the role of Dorothy Hunt; Domhnall Gleeson (Run, Black Mirror), plays John Dean; and Judy Greer (californication) as Frank Liddy.
