Santo Domingo.- Francisco Javier García, member of the Political Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), assured that this organization will soon become the most powerful political force in the country.
He said that political organization is planted in the hearts of the population, thanks to a fruitful government work of two decades that has positively impacted Dominican society.
García, who announced last week that he would seek the presidential candidacy on the PLD ticket for the 2028 elections, visited leaders of that party this weekend in the municipality of Jarabacoa, in the province of La Vega.
“I have no doubt that the Dominican Liberation Party will soon regain its strength; its government work is spread throughout the territory of the Dominican Republic,” he said.
Contact with the leadership
The PLD leader said that at this stage he will be visiting the leadership structures to socialize the internal situation of the PLD and the national situation.
Francisco Javier shared in Jarabacoa with leaders of the organization to whom he said: “I will be the next President of the Republic starting in 2028,” as he said on the radio program where he made the announcement.

He explained to the diners, with whom he shared lunch, that he has drawn up a roadmap with a view to reaching the highest office in the Dominican State, in the next four years.
He explained to them that beyond a personal decision, the step he has taken represents a project of the PLD and of Dominican society.
