El PLD y docentes dicen ‘no’ a la fusión de los ministerios educativos

Santo Domingo.- Teachers and leaders of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) rejected the proposed merger between the Ministry of Education (Minerd) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mescyt) during a Civic Parade held in Parque Independencia, in the National District.

The teachers responded to the call of the Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP), which brings together an entity that considers it absurd to merge two ministries that fulfill different functions in society.

With banners and slogans opposing the merger of educational ministries, hundreds of teachers wearing blue clothing demonstrated in front of Puerta del Conde, in Parque Independencia.
