The Plaza de Mayo was preparing this Monday to celebrate the 77th anniversary of that historic October 17, 1945, under the slogan “National unity for sovereignty with social justice” and with the first militants who made their way under the sun to guarantee a place.

The stage where the speakers will give their speeches was installed in the middle of the square and behind the May pyramid, where about 250 chairs were distributed.

“Everyone with Cristina” and “Néstor lives” are some slogans that adorned the environment and the images of popular leaders such as Pope Francis, Evita, Juan Domingo Perón, Diego Maradona, Juana Azurduy, San Martín, Néstor and Cristina Kirchner, Mercedes Sosa , Carlos “Indio” Solari and Estela de Carlotto also illustrated huge flags.

Different union organizations were present, such as the Central de Trabajadores de la Argentinos (CTA), the Union of Truck Drivers, the Union of Rural Workers and Stevedores (Uatre), the Single Union of Toll Workers and Allied Workers (SUTPA), the Buenos Aires Press Union (SiPreBA) and the Single Union of Freighters (Siunfletra), among others.

Among them, the presence of the Truckers union stood out, which had a giant flag on the facade of the Cabildo and other banners distributed in the square with phrases from the deputy secretary of the union, Pablo Moyano, as a legend.

Several of the members of that guild were gathered in the Plaza de Mayo and the batucada of that guild, La Famosa Recoleccion & La Banda De San José, was already preparing to put rhythm to this day.

Meanwhile, grills were lit nearby to sell traditional choripanes, hamburgers and bondiola sandwiches, and merchants offered products with the image of Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner or slogans from the Justicialist Party.

There were also stalls offering vegan food or salami sandwiches that already had their first interested parties.

In addition, the flags of different PJ mayors such as Fernando Moreira (San Martín), Alejandro Granados (Ezeiza) and Fernando Espinoza (La Matanza) were installed in the Plaza, in addition to the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis, and the Secretary of Economy of Knowledge, Ariel Sujarchuk, both licensed in the municipalities of San Martín and Escobar, respectively.
