This Thursday, the Picket Unit will develop a new protest to demand the loss of beneficiaries of social plans, and in rejection of the current economic situation, because, with high inflation, workers only lose their income.
In that framework, social organizations they will march against the adjustment of the Government and for the delay of the payment of Potenciar Trabajo. Because of this, the Picket Unit will carry out a massive mobilization in various points of the City of Buenos Aires.
As announced by the Picket Unitcuts will be made in the main access roads to the City, which It will mainly affect the Pueyrredón Bridge, the La Noria Bridge, the West Highway and the Pan-American Highway.
The picketers’ protest will begin at 9:00 am; However, they will not be the only ones who will take to the streets, as retirees, pensioners and older adults will gather at 3:00 p.m. in front of Congress and in different squares of the country.
Retirees demand an “emergency raise; $170,000 minimum, proportional to the salary scale; automatic mobility due to inflation and salary; 82% mobile and universal retirement for the elderly without payment of years, and in defense of special regimes”.
For their part, the piqueteros claim that this month there have been unexplained casualties in Potenciar Trabajo, and that they will presumably remove 150,000 more beneficiaries in the coming months.
Additionally, they demand a bonus for the same value of the credit that is granted with the program “so that it allows them to face, at least during these holidays, the loss due to inflation.”
Libres del Sur will order food in supermarkets
Parallel to the protest of the picketers, Libres del Sur will ask for food in supermarkets from 10:00 a.m., to “raise the pressing needs of a large part of the population”.
The organization plans to go to large supermarket chains such as Carrefour, Walmart, Changomás, among others. Then they will move to Congress, where, starting at 3:00 p.m., they will make a massive demonstration. The food that is collected will be destined for the dining rooms and picnic areas.
