TEPJF in favor of the eradication of political violence against women
The magistrate of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judiciary (TEPJF), Janine Otálora Malassis, highlighted that for several years the highest jurisdictional body analyzes from a gender perspective the issues that come before the Superior Chamber to combat political violence against women .
Their judgments are based on the international conventions to which Mexico is a signatory, and place special emphasis on what is dictated by the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
Let’s stop the violence
“Let’s put a stop to violence against women. Our country cannot allow women to be victims of any kind of aggression or discrimination. November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women”, the presidential candidate and former Secretary of Tourism, Enrique de la Madrid, also wrote on social networks.
In addition, she shared an infographic in which it is highlighted that 7 out of 10 women over the age of 15 have suffered some type of violence, while from 2016 to 2021, gender-based violence increased by 4%.

The PRI promotes in favor of women
The national leader of the tricolor, Alejandro Moreno, in a message on Twitter, supported #DíaNaranja and spoke out against the different forms of violence suffered by women and girls.
He reported that from the party “we will continue promoting laws that protect citizens, ensuring their well-being and respect for their rights”, for which the Unit to Attend, Prevent and Eradicate Violence against Women based on Gender provides advice, guidance and accompaniment to the victims in the presentation of complaints and reports, as well as for their follow-up.
Moreno Cárdenas commented that last October, the National Political Council of his party approved reforms to its Statutes, in order to guarantee women the exercise of their political and electoral rights free of violence.
