“We make a respectful call so that, within the framework of the political dialogue, as soon as possible, the Mexico-European Union Joint Parliamentary Commission (CPM) addresses the issue of the prevailing need to respect the democratic clause and the Mexican government commit to comply with the international agreement”, refer the PAN members.

The foregoing, while saluting the Resolution of the European Parliament on the serious violations of human rights and the constant attacks against journalists, human rights defenders that include the protectors of the environment, and indigenous communities as well as women’s rights.

Similarly, the PAN members highlight that, from the International Democratic Center, on July 21, 2021, a resolution was approved that they presented on the situation in Mexico against freedom of expression and the press. In it, they expressed their concern about the seriousness of the situation “and we join the declarations of the European Delegation in our country”.
