At a press conference, Cortés said that the response of the FGR should not be like the one that has occurred in other cases, for example, that of the brothers of President Pío and Martín López Obrador, who were exhibited receiving cash. In this regard, the president has rejected that there is illegality in these events.

The case has generated controversy and criticism of the López Obrador government, although Baker Hughes denies that the house in question belonged to any of his directors and the Mexican president has denied that his children have influence in his administration or have fallen into conflicts of interest.
