In the last few hours, the founder of Perú Moderno, Wilson Aragón, let it be known, it is not known whether with good or bad intentions, the possible resignation of Carlos Añanos to that group. Carlos Añaños has always said that he will not compromise with deals or arrangements in the party he is a member of, perhaps some of that water is running under that bridge.
The owner of the AJE group joined the political party Perú Moderno in June, founded by the manufacturer of the ‘tiger blankets’, Wilson Aragón. Among other notable additions is former attorney general Julia Príncipe, who is even part of the National Political Commission.

According to sources from Perú21, Aragón, the party leader, informed his coreligionists this morning that the businessman decided “not to run for President with the Perú Moderno party.”
“We have received a letter from our brother Carlos Añaños, in which he informs us that he will not be a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic for our party. We express our constant appreciation for his willingness to continue working for the greatness of our country,” the message states, adding, “Mr. Carlos Añaños will always be in the heart of ‘Perú Moderno’.”
However, Carlos Añaños has not issued any official communication or made any declaration. He has not declared himself a presidential candidate for that or any other party.
The 58-year-old businessman joined Avanza País in 2020. He signed up to support the campaign of then-candidate Hernando de Soto in the 2021 general elections. Like Añaños, Príncipe was also in the train party and even ran for Congress. However, he resigned from his candidacy for personal reasons.
