The owner of the La Salada complex, Jorge Castillo, said on Wednesday that the macrista national deputy Cristian Ritondo, when he was Secretary of Provincial Security, “sent a secretary to fix the management of public roads” at the fair known as Punta Mogote “which was equivalent to three million 600 thousand dollars a month”, and maintained that for refusing to participate he was arrested in 2017.
“Ritondo sent me a secretary to fix the management of the public highway of La Salada. He wanted the cash from those 12,000 stalls (on public roads), which at that time was equivalent to three million 600 thousand dollars a month, the famous political box“Castillo maintained for Somos Radio AM 530.
“Ritondo gave me judicial, police and political supportIn exchange for that, he added.
Castillo, also known as “the king of La Salada”, was arrested in June 2017 accused of illicit association, money laundering and tax evasion. He was imprisoned for two years and four months, until at the end of 2019 he was granted house arrest.
When asked for the name of the secretary sent, he specified that it was “Rochetti, Ritondo’s chief of staff” and “Gestapo defense attorney”, in reference to the case that emerged after the meeting of former officials and intelligence agents in 2017 was known to allegedly set up cases against union members.
“Everything is entangled,” Castillo expanded on the connection between the two causes and considered that in his case “I am not their political enemy” (referring to macrismo), since even “I got to collaborate logistically“with the government of (María Eugenia) Vidal.
“They wanted to keep the La Salada box, and since I refused, I belong to the mafia“, he explained the reason for his arrest in 2017 and added that “they believed that by getting me out of the way, they would stay with La Salada without any discussion.”
Along the same lines, he assured that “everything is denounced in the federal court” and claimed to have “evidence” that justice “did not seek” to determine whether he was “lying or not and left everything there“.
He also asked that the justice investigate “the money that Ritondo has in the affidavits” to find out “where he got it from” and pointed out that the president of the block of deputies of JxC “it is the alma mater of all the things that were done in the province of Buenos Aires“.
On the other hand, he also noted against Buenos Aires Attorney Julio Conte Grandfor having been “minister of Vidal” (he was Legal and Technical secretary) and ended up “being Attorney”.
“They are the pure and chaste of politics. Terrible scoundrelswhich left the country in debt,” he said ironically.
And he questioned radicalism, to which he claimed to belong: “Today the party is run by criminal gangsters who, like they live off the PRO walletthey will continue there until they understand it,” he concluded.
