Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner stated on Saturday night that “the Judicial Party asked her for a 12-year sentence for each of the best years that the Argentine people lived,” and noted that since Tuesday there have been demonstrations throughout the country of I support his figure, but that “the only place where scenes of violence took place was in the City of Buenos Aires.”

“The violence was provoked by hatred of Peronism. They do not tolerate the love and joy of the Peronists”, said the president when speaking tonight, after 10 pm, on a stage set up on the corner of Uruguay and Juncal, after the repression carried out by the Police of the City of Buenos Aires against demonstrators demonstrating at the site.

The former president expressed herself in this way in relation to the support she received these days from the militants of the Frente de Todos, in the context of the trial of the case that follows her for the alleged direction of public works in Santa Cruz, and that he has her as a defendant.

In a speech made from a stage located at the door of his home, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta, Fernández said that “in the only place where since Tuesday and today there were scenes of violence was here, in the City of Buenos Aires and at the door of my house, provoked by hate, joy and Peronist love, which was always the object of violence“.

The Vice President recalled that “since the last day I left the Presidency, that December 9 (2015), when that wonderful act in Plaza de Mayo ended, I could not get here because this place was surrounded by supporters of the new government, of the macrismo, who insulted, attacked”.

“I had to go to sleep at my daughter’s house, close here, in the Monserrat neighborhood. From that day until Tuesday I have suffered constant harassment from people who come to threaten me with death. I never saw the City of Buenos Aires intervene to prevent this harassment. I pay my taxes equal to everyone who is here. I have the same right, none more, but the same. And then they say that the Peronists are violent“, he founded.

“We saw the tragedy of humanity due to the pandemic and burning masks, violating the quarantine no matter what, putting the health of the population at risk, and there was never a single policeman (from the City) who could even bother the people who did so. they did, even when they were breaking the law. Because we believe that in a democracy the right to freedom of expression is fundamental,” he said.

And he expanded: “We have seen them too hang mortuary bags on the bars of the Government House with the faces of the main leaders of our political space, but we are the violent ones“.

“Placing gallows and guillotines in the squares of the Republic. The degree of cynicism and perversion is incredible. They want to exterminate Peronism. It is what they have always wanted. They have tried everything, the worst violence. The disappearance of thousands of compatriots. No They accept that the people can express themselves and demand things that are different from what they want,” he remarked.

The former president also sent a message to the leaders of Together for Change and in view of the upcoming electoral year and asked them to “Stop competing with each other who hates the most and who hits the Peronists the most”.

“I recommend them to you as a citizen, as a compatriot. Those competitions to see who is tougher, who punishes popular demonstrations more, never came to fruition in Argentina. They have a very bad history,” she reviewed.

Likewise, he advised them “not to repeat experiences that we all later have to regret.”

“There has been too much blood in Argentina for them to continue threatening those who think differently with gunshots, bullets, tear gas, pepper spray.“, he stressed.

He clarified that “right here, for five days, there were people who peacefully demonstrated” and “it wasn’t all day, it was in the morning.”

“I did not see insulting anyone, not wishing death to anyone. They simply came to humbly support a political space that has achieved so much for Argentina. As much as they want to hide it or disguise it from their media constructions,” he observed.

Lastly, he addressed his followers and paid tribute to them for the support they had given these days, after the request for imprisonment against him made by the prosecutor Diego Luciani in the trial of the public works case, and assured that “even if I lived a thousand years, I would never It will be enough to thank you for the love, solidarity and loyalty of all of you”.

“At this point in my life there is nothing more important than that. I only ask that you let us never abandon our convictions and above all that indestructible love for the Homeland that unites us all. I ask that we go to rest because it has been a long day“, he concluded.

Before the vice president’s speech that closed a day of tension, President Alberto Fernández had expressed his “most energetic repudiation of the institutional violence unleashed by the City Government in front of a massive demonstration of citizens expressing themselves freely and in democracy”, after the repression by the Buenos Aires police of militants who had gathered near the Vice President’s home.

The different expressions of the FdT carried out during Saturday meetings and mobilizations in different places of the countrywith epicenter in the city of Buenos Aires and different municipalities of the Buenos Aires suburbs, in support of the Vice President, after the prosecutor of the case known as Vialidad requested 12 years in prison for the former president and disqualification from holding public office.
