The Ombudsman’s Office and Public Defense sign an agreement to promote Human Rights.

The Ombudsman’s Office and the Public Defense (DP), signed an inter-institutional and academic agreement with the purpose of promoting and disseminating Human Rights in the national territory.

The signing of this agreement took place this Friday at the DP headquarters in Caracas and was in charge of the Ombudsman, Alfredo Ruíz, and the General Public Defender (E), Daniel Augusto Ramírez Herrera.

Both institutions committed to developing activities that favor the strengthening of inter-institutional cooperation, through the completion of diplomas, courses and other teaching modalities.

Likewise, they agreed to carry out conferences, workshops, forums, seminars and any other educational, scientific and technical activity on topics related to their areas of competence.

Within the signed agreements, they committed to the creation of free and research chairs in the areas that are considered relevant for both parties. Likewise, they will share the ownership of the rights over the intellectual creations that are generated on the occasion of this agreement.
