Through a statement released this Sunday, the institution highlighted the resolution of the Court of Transparency and Access to Public Information of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (Minjus), which orders the Presidential Office to deliver the record of visits to the property used by the president to dispatch unofficially.
“The Ombudsman’s Office demands that the President of the Republic order the officials of the Presidential Office, as soon as possible, to fully deliver the information regarding the people with whom he would have held meetings in the building located in the Sarratea passage”, reads the statement.
Likewise, it warned that the non-compliance with the resolution issued by the Transparency Tribunal “entails criminal and administrative responsibilities for the officials responsible for delivering the requested information”.
In fact, the Minjus instance maintains that various areas of the Presidential Office -the General Secretariat, the Activities Secretariat and the Military House- “have the obligation to have information regarding the identification of the people who meet with the president“, whether in the Government Palace or in other facilities, “on the occasion of official, management and even private activities,” recalled the Ombudsman.
