Through the Directorate for the Protection of Human Rights, the Ombudsman’s Office investigates the causes of the dismissal of officials of the Social Security Fund (CSS), during the period of closures and demonstrations registered in the month of October.
According to the Ombudsman, so far it has been confirmed that some personnel departures were due to the termination of contracts; the rest remain under investigation to rule out the possible violation of the right to work.
In addition to this, human rights officers from the entity inspected this Tuesday, November 8, the CSS facilities with respect to garbage collection, especially that which contains hospital waste and requires specialized treatment to guarantee the right to health of patients and employees who work in the medical center.
These inspections are the product of claims made by leaders of the National Association of CSS Officials and Administrative Staff (ANFACSS), who request adjustments to the salary scale; which led to a dialogue between the organization and the board of directors of the CSS, whose mediator is the Ombudsman Eduardo Leblanc González.
The second session of this dialogue table continues this Wednesday, November 9, at the Training Center of the Office of the Attorney General, starting at 8:30 a.m.
