The Ombudsman has not yet received a report from the Penitentiary Regime on the spy camera in Camacho’s cell

The Ombudsman, Pedro Callisaya, reported this Thursday that the General Directorate of Penitentiary Regime has not yet responded to the request for a report that was made on the complaint of a spy camera in the cell of Governor Luis Fernando Camacho in Chonchocoro.

When the complaint became known, that body began an investigation and made report requests on the subject. However, to date, the documentation related to the fact has not been sent.

“We have an ongoing investigation, we are requesting a report that has been sent to the General Directorate of Penitentiary Regime, we don’t have the answer yet and to the extent that we already have the corresponding information, we are going to position ourselves in this regard,” Callisaya said, according to Erbol.

The defender pointed out that nor did he have the opportunity to visit the cell in which the governor of Santa Cruz lives at the maximum security prison, where the device was allegedly found.

He further clarified that the accompaniment is made to the health issue of Camacho and their process is monitored, for the so-called ‘coup I’, on the events recorded in 2019.
