The second edition of the Oceans Cup will be played this Saturday and Sunday at the Panama Golf Club, where 30 of the best Panamanian golfers divided into two teams of 15 members each: Atlantic Team and Pacific Team, compete in a high-quality tournament. performance, under a different format and in an atmosphere of brotherhood.
The players participating in this initiative of the Panama Golf Association and the APAGOLF Sub 18 Commission were selected for their performances in the editions of the US Kids Local Tour Panama and Junior Tour 2024, which aim to promote children’s golf. and youth in our country.
The Atlantic Team is made up of Samuel Durán, Oscar Espino, Eduardo de León, Juan José Rodriguez, Pablo Brenes, Sofía Jaén, Alejando Arias, Sara Luciani, Ernesto Durán, Aurelio Gómez, Juan Carlos Soto, Alexa Rodríguez, Samuel Colmenares, Diego Downs and Ricardo Quintero.
For its part, The Pacific Team is made up of Pablo del Grosso, Ricardo Arango, Juan Raúl Boyd, Diego Alfaro, Daniel Hylton, Alessandra Arango, Carlos Sacre, Leo Benedetti, Frank Morrice, Chelsea Kim, Fernando Troitiño, Miguel Melais, Megumi Nakada , Thiago Schocknees and Ana Lucía Ureña.
The Team Captains are the outstanding Panamanian golfers Lucca González of the Atlantic Team and Raul Carbonel of the Pacific Team.
The team members were selected draft style by the captains at the Audi Center, located in the Santa María Business District.
On Saturday, October 26, 9 holes will be played in the morning under the Best Ball format and then 9 holes in the afternoon in the Scramble format. On Sunday, October 27, the last day will be held with Individual Match Play followed by the awards ceremony.
