In this regard, the company’s Operations Manager, Carlos Antonioli, stated that the growth reflects the improvement in air connectivity. “The airport service and its infrastructure have not only facilitated access to tourist destinations in southern Peru, but have consolidated themselves as regional and international strategic points,” he said.
Likewise, he revealed that during August alone, the Arequipa terminal registered a flow of 224,504 passengers, the Juliaca terminal 54,461, and the Ayacucho terminal 37,026 passengers.
Likewise, he noted that these airports provide direct access to highly attractive historical and natural destinations such as the Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca and the turquoise waters of Millpu.
“We are promoting more accessible, dynamic and sustainable tourism, which strengthens regional growth and generates employment in key areas of southern Peru,” said Antonioli.
