Six of the people identified as missing were found dead. The Mayor asked for donations of construction material.
With a cutoff at 08:30 on February 2, 2022, the Municipality of Quito reported that the number of dead for him alluvium occurred in the sector of La Gasca, in the center-north of the city, amounted to 26.

The Mayor of the capital also reported that from the Municipality of Guayaquil they received 1,000 food kits.
Other types of donations
Guarderas also asked citizens who wish to donate blocks, bags of cement and other construction materials such as zinc roofs, windows or doors. “It is essential to begin the reconstruction of some of these houses,” added the Mayor. (AVV)
