The number of female property buyers is increasing

The number of female property buyers in Peru is growing, according to a report by Inmobiliaria Desarrolladora del Pacífico.

Look: Peru has 1,652 megaprojects for US$194,396 million

“The real estate industry is no longer a male-dominated territory. Over the years, we have seen a greater female presence in the sector,” said the company’s representative, Antonio Espinosa.

According to data from the real estate portal Properati, 62% of women looking for a home in Peru opt to buy, while 38% prefer to rent.

On the other hand, she revealed that most of the buyers are between 31 and 40 years old and have professions such as Law, Accounting, Civil Engineering and Medicine.

“These behaviors are in line with the economic growth and financial autonomy that many women have achieved in recent years. Women’s decision-making capacity and purchasing power have not only transformed the real estate market, but have also influenced the sales and marketing strategies of the main companies in the sector,” she said.
