The renowned Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2010 and one of the most influential figures of the literature died this Sunday afternoon. The news was confirmed by his son Álvaro Vargas Llosa through his social networks.
“With deep pain, we make public that our father, Mario Vargas Llosa, has died today in Lima, surrounded by his family and in peace”wrote.
