Although the governor, emanating from the Movimiento Ciudadano party, sent a request to Congress to postpone the appearance for five business days, the body had refused a date change.
However, Samuel García did not postpone a work tour in Washington either, where he participated in a session of the International Affairs Commission of the National Conference of Governors (Conago).
At the meeting, he met with the Mexican ambassador to the United States, Esteban Moctezuma; the governor of Chihuahua, Maru Campos, and heads of the Secretariats of Economy of Querétaro, Campeche, Chiapas and Zacatecas.
