This Saturday, March 4, a new edition of The Night of the Bookstores under the slogan “40 years of democracy”, on Corrientes Avenue from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
The event will have more than 50 free activities in the six scenarios that will be arranged on Corrientes avenue, between Cerrito and Callao. Besides, The Night of the Bookstores will have invited authors such as Martín Kohan, Selva Almada and Claudia Piñeiro, among many others.
Each scenario of The Night of the Bookstores It will bear the names of important literary references, such as Estela Figueroa, Antonio Di Benedetto, Vlady Kociancich, Ernesto Sábato, Quino and Sylvia Molloy.
Among the most important activities on this year’s schedule, The talk “40 years of media in democracy” with Hinde Pomeraniec, Juan Di Natale and Bobby Flores, at Corrientes 1,699, stands out at 7:00 p.m..
The event will also feature live music presentations, talks, screen printing, printing and Paste Up workshops, in addition, some 45 bookstores in the area will remain open so that they can be visited. All activities are with free admission.
The Buenos Aires Minister of Culture, Enrique Avogadro, expressed that this edition “honors our 40 years of democracy, inviting us to the world of books. That information circulates, that dialogue is respectful, that ideas are diverse and that words and stories proliferate, is the way we have to guarantee freedom for many more years.”
In its last edition, the event had the participation of more than 90,000 people, who toured the streets of Avenida Corrientes and San Telmo to enjoy a cultural show that exalts the best of literature.
