The new Vice Chancellor Nicolás Albertoni was received by Bustillo

On the occasion, Bustillo said that Albertoni “will give us a lot with the fresh air that he incorporates and his academic knowledge of Political Science and International Relations.” For his part, Albertoni affirmed that he met “a great team” at the Chancellery.

The new Vice Chancellor, Nicolás Albertoni, is a 35-year-old academic linked to the Colorado Party (PC) and born in the department of Salto.

Albertoni until now served as Secretary General of the Mixed Commission of Salto Grande and Deputy Secretary of International Relations of the PC.

Master of School of Foreign Service (Latin American Studies and International Business Diplomacy), Georgetown University (USA). Graduate in International Business and Integration, Catholic University of Uruguay.

Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) | Level I and its research areas are “international political economy; comparative politics with an emphasis on Latin America; internationalization of the company; Uruguay’s international insertion strategy”.

The new vice chancellor is the author of books such as “Between the neighborhood and the world” (about Mercosur and Uruguay) and “Instructions to invent the wheel”

Nicolás Albertoni is the new Vice Chancellor of the Republic after the resignation of Carolina Ache as a result of her role in issuing a national passport to the Uruguayan drug trafficker Sebastián Marset who was imprisoned in Dubai.
