Maximiliano Cruz Ramos, Major General of the General Staff, was sworn in yesterday as the new inspector and comptroller general of the Army and Air Force, in a ceremony headed by the head of the Secretariat of National Defense (Defense), General Ricardo Trevilla Trejo.
By order of the citizen president of Mexico (Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo), the citizen of the general staff division Maximiliano Cruz Ramos here present will be recognized as inspector and comptroller general of the Army and Air Force, who will be given the respect due to his hierarchy and he will be obeyed in everything he orders regarding the service orally or in writing, in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations.

Among his last positions, Cruz Ramos was commander of the ninth Military Zone in Culiacán, Sinaloa; commander of the Military Police Corps in Mexico City; commander of the fifth Military Region in La Mojonera, Jalisco; commander of the fourth Military Region in Monterrey, Nuevo León, and just last October he had assumed the position of commander of the 12th Military Region in Irapuato, Guanajuato.
In addition, among other decorations, he has received the Order of Merit in the campaign against drug trafficking, the Order of Military Merit and the Distinction of performance for the DN-III E Plan due to the contingency caused by the covid-19 pandemic.
Cruz Ramos was born on December 31, 1960 in Tapachula, Chiapas, and in September 1978 he entered the Heroico Military College. Among other courses and postgraduate degrees, he is a master in military administration for national security and defense at the National Defense College in Popotla, Mexico City, and has the higher general staff course of the Italian army in Rome, Italy.
