The volcano continues to emit water vapor and gases, mainly Sulfur Dioxide (SO2). During that last measured week, “thermal anomalies were reported in the
volcano”.
The column of gases and steam reached a maximum height of 2333 m measured on the top of the volcano, on April 24.
While the seismicity associated with rock fracturing increased in the number of earthquakes and in the seismic energy released, in relation to the previous week, the fluid dynamics inside the volcanic conduits decreased.
