The national government launched a scholarship program for the air traffic control course, an activity considered globally highly demanding, although with important benefits such as immediate employment and above-average salaries, sources from the Ministry of Transport reported.

The purpose of the initiative is to continue strengthening air safety, the operational staffing of the sector and to equalize opportunities in access to academic and professional training for young people from all over the country.

There will be 32 scholarships for professional training in the air traffic controller course and it is aimed at young people residing in different provinces and cities of the country. The program is financed and created by the Ministry of Transportation, in charge of Diego Giuliano, through the Argentine Air Navigation Company (EANA SE).

Who is the program for?

This is the fifth edition of the program and this time it is aimed at young people residing in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires or in the provinces of Corrientes, Chaco, Chubut, Formosa, Río Negro, San Juan or Tierra del Fuego. The registration stage is currently open and will last until Sunday, December 18 inclusive. The people who obtain the scholarship will begin their studies in the school year that will begin in February 2023.

What is an air traffic controller

The objective of air traffic controllers is to maintain order, safety and the efficiency of air operations, from the moment the aircraft start taxiing to take off, until they land and move to the airport terminal. In addition, they define the priority in the care of flights, preventing incidents and avoiding collisions.

The conditions of the scholarship

The applicants must be native Argentines, naturalized or by option, be between 20 and 30 years old, reside in the aforementioned provinces or cities, have completed their secondary studies, have an intermediate or advanced level of English. , present a criminal record certificate and have availability to move to another city during the approximate period of six months of face-to-face study.

The selection process of the applicants will include the analysis of the information and documentation provided during the registration stage, technical evaluations, personal and competency interviews, and psychophysical exams. The final evaluation of those who have passed all these instances will be in charge of an EANA SE examining board
