On Thursday the 14th, you can see the performance of the dancer Luisa Márquez, together with the first dancer Yankiel Vázquez.
The Cuban version of Don Quixote, with choreography by Alicia Alonso, artistic-choreographic direction by Marta García and María Elena Llorente based on the original by Marius Petipa, it was presented for the first time on July 6, 1988 at the Gran Teatro de La Habana, although since 1950 the Alicia Alonso Ballet had added to his repertoire grand pas de deux of the third act.
Because it is a ballet created from passages from the The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quijote of La Mancha, of Miguel de Cervantes, Alicia Alonso carried out a careful work around the folk references.
