The nation is exposed to billionaria demands for postponement of resources for works

After the Ministry of Finance filed the decree that postpons a part of the general budget of the Nation of 2025 and that it was known that a large part of the resources that would freeze will affect several transport projects in the country, Among them the Bogotá Metrothe mayor of the capital, Carlos Fernando Galán reacted to the decision that would stop the progress of this project.

“Bogotá’s progress is not stopped”Galán said through a video on his social networks, in which he added that the postponement of resources was not arranged and that the government is breaking the commitments of a agreed agreement.

Mayor Galán also stressed that “The Metro today has more than 46% progress, it is not late and until now Bogotá has put three times more resources than the nation”.

Likewise, Galán gave a tranquility to the Bogotanos and assured that the work will not stop and announced that the District Administration will assume the financial burden of this breach of the national government to guarantee the execution of the work of the Bogotá Metro.

Finally, the mayor of the capital said that all the legal resources that are available for the Government will be analyzed for the agreed commitments.

‘Billionaire demands’

After the reaction of the mayor, the former Minister of Finance and Public Credit, José Manuel Restrepo, added in another message that after the postponement of the budget “Billionaire demands will come to the Nation for breaches of future validity”.

“Not only in Bogotá but in Medellín !! And others .. Future validity are guarantees of payment and are scheduled in the fiscal frame MedellinensesSaid Restrepo Abondano.

The budget postponement decree indicates that 770 billion pesos would be suspended for the Bogotá Metro.
