According to data from the Electoral Court, the Frente Amplio has 16 senators, which implies that it will be a majority; the National Party 9, and the Colorado Party 5.
No leader or representative of the eight remaining parties that were in the election on October 27, 2024 enters.
The Upper House with the new integration will take office on March 1, 2025 when whoever is elected President of the Republic takes office. And it will also be that day when senator number 31 will enter: Valeria Ripoll or Carolina Cosse.
There is little party renewal in the Senate, in its current makeup.
