“We deeply regret the death of Mary Giovanna Acuña, Miguel’s mother. The Santos nation is with you and your families at this delicate moment,” the club published. The Brazilian institution also expressed its sorrow for the death of Semplicio do Santos, grandfather of Angelo and Bruno Pires, also players of the club.
The cause of death of the mother of the player from Santa Cruz is unknown. Mary Giovanna was always aware of Miguelito, as the 18-year-old player is known. On April 26 of last year, she looked proud when her son was made to sign his first contract as a professional player in Santos.
Third parties debuted in professionalism last year in July. The Bolivian player is considered one of the most important promises that the Santos club treasures. The Brazilian team shielded him with an exit clause of 100 million dollars. His contractual relationship is until 2027.
