The Ministry of the Interior criminally denounced the ex-partner of Charles Carrera for “irregularities and acts of criminal appearance”

The ex-partner of senator Charles Carrera was criminally denounced by the Ministry of the Interiorreported El País and confirmed to The Observer Ministry sources.
As indicated to The Observer, The woman was denounced for “irregularities and acts of criminal appearance” in the use of the Police Hospital between 2010 and 2012. During that time, the woman was treated more than 40 times at the hospital and did not pay for the tickets. The sum of this expense, which was generated by hospitalization services, emergency care, laboratory studies, prosthesis surgery and extra-hospital studies, medication withdrawal and home care, reached US$ 26,129.
The woman was treated at that hospital while Carrera worked as general director of the Secretariat in the Ministry of the Interior.
The complaint filed by the ministry came after the conclusion of an investigation requested by the current minister Luis Alberto Heber to verify irregularities.
The investigation began after Carrera was questioned in August 2022 for his intervention (as director of the ministry) to enable the admission to the Police Hospital of Víctor Hernández, a civilian who received a stray bullet that presumably came from a house where the deputy commissioner of La Paloma was. Within the framework of that investigation, it was found that the ex-partner of the now senator was also being treated at that hospital.
