The Colombian Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported that Starting in May, it will publish the report on cases and deaths from covid-19 in the country every Thursday. This taking into account that in recent weeks there has been a stabilization of reports, with an average of 240 cases and a decrease in deaths from Coronavirus.
It is important to point out that the report on Coronavirus in Colombia was being carried out daily, but now it will be delivered every Thursday, not only for the reduction of cases but also due to the new measures that have been implemented in the country.

“It is important that the active search for cases and the study of conglomerates and the identification of variants and sublineages continue to be maintained through genomic surveillance,” said Claudia Milena Cuéllar, director of Epidemiology and Demography of the Ministry of Health.
On the other hand, from territorial entities will continue to report cases and deaths to the National Institute of Health (INS), and the entity will send the corresponding information to the Ministry of Health for its detailed publication that includes cases by departments, deaths and all the analysis published on the INS page.
