The Ministry of Economy announced the creation of the Unit for Strategic Coordination of Economic and Productive Areas, which was created for two years, as published today in the Official Gazette.
Since wallet led by Sergio Massa, explained that the purpose of the unit is to “strategically articulate the necessary coordination actions that allow harmonious development between the economic and productive areas.” The measure was regulated by the Ministry of Economy through Resolution 1134/2022.

Melaraña also currently serves as president of Club Atlético Tigre, an entity closely linked to the Minister of Economy. For his part, Blanco Mollo was in charge of the General Directorate of Private Secretariat during the time, in which the current head of the Palace of Finance held the presidency of the Chamber of Deputies.
Since the economic portfolio explained that within the functions of the new secretary will be “assist the president and the Chief of Staff in everything inherent to economic, budgetary and tax policy and productive development”.

Within the resolution published this Monday, it is specified that the unit will have as its main objectives:
- “Manage the general articulation of the substantive areas with competence in economic and productive matters for a better execution of public policies in both sectors.”
- “Prepare reports addressed to the Minister that serve as an input for decision-making, that contribute to the definition of policies aimed at the harmonization based on functional criteria, of the responsibilities assigned to the economic and productive areas.”
- “Design plans and coordinate the performance of prospective analyzes that allow different scenarios to be foreseen for the purpose of developing strategic planning processes.”
