The Minister of Tourism, Tabaré Viera, confirmed on the afternoon of December 25 that he had been infected with COVID-19, but that his symptoms are mild thanks to having three doses of vaccines against the virus.
“In contact with people who were infected, I have performed a PCR that yielded a positive result for COVID-19,” the executive chief reported on his Twitter account.
