More than 13,000 people will deploy this Sunday to the 15,000 districts of the capital city to take away forward the great minga of elimination of the mosquito that transmits dengue, in the activity that seeks to stop the epidemic that plagues the Santa Cruz region.

From the program ¡Qué Semana!, from EL DEBER Radio, the Vice Minister of Civil Defense, Juan Carlos Calvimontes, reported on the plan for the crusade named United against dengue. The authority explained that the Armed Forces will deploy 4,500 soldiers, the health teams at the three levels will deploy 2,500 officials and health professionals, the Mayor’s Office will deploy 700 gendarmes, and 2,000 residents will join them. But in addition, institutions such as Saguapac and the CRE, in addition to the universities, have promised to collaborate in the minga.

For his part, Mayor Jhonny Fernández pointed out that dump trucks will be mobilized to lift tires and waste that residents remove from their homes. In addition, the medical brigades that will travel will attend to people who present symptoms. “All that islogistics and material is guaranteed. The Ministry of Health has guaranteed that the Government will also provide all the fumigation equipment that will be added to those of the Municipal Government, ”he stressed.

Deputy Minister Calvimontes spoke of the need for all citizens to participate in this campaign preventive, because the objective is to prevent the population fromDon’t keep getting sick. He also highlighted the fact that efforts are being joined to contain the epidemic. “The cleaning of the house must be done by the neighbor and the brigadistas will enter to do their work elimination of reservoirs and use of biolarvicides, and identify if there is any person with warning signs for referral to a health center,” he said.

Mayor Fernández promised to provide means transportation to mobilize all staff. Alsoor, guaranteed the material for the elimination of the vector, the medical equipment and auxiliaries.
