The Uruguayan Fuel Distributor (Ducsa) —the main collateral of the Ancap group— closed its accounting balance for the year 2021 with a profit of $1,153 million (about US$26 million)above the $926 million of the previous year (about US$22 million), according to the balance published before the Montevideo Stock Exchange (BVM).
Ancap’s subsidiary —which operates under private law— has as its main task the fuel distribution business (where it competes with Axion and Disa) and also lubricants. At the moment, It supplies some 280 stations of the Ancap label throughout the country.
Ducsa has historically been the collateral of the Ancap group with the best performance and has contributed the most to the profits of the oil entity. The revenues of this company totaled $52,782 million in 2021, about $10 million more than in 2020, a year that was impacted by the effects of the pandemic since mobility and fuel consumption were reduced for several months of that year.
The operating result was positive at $1,380 million in 2021, well above the $1,189 million of the previous year. Ducsa made a disbursement for Income Tax (IRAE) for $333 million in 2021 (about US$7.4 million).
The balance of dividends to be paid as of December 31, 2021 by Ducsa amounted to $281 million (about US$6.5 million).
