The Argentine defender Federico Gattonicurrently owned by Sevilla, has generated interest in the Liga MX. Two Mexican teams, Queretaro and Necaxaare considering his signing, since the player does not have a guaranteed place in the Sevillian teamto which he must return on January 1 and where he has no placeto begin with because the Andalusian club does not have available chips.
Gattoni, 26, joined Sevilla in 2023 but has had limited performance. In January 2024, he was loaned to Anderlecht and then joined River Plate in the summer of 2024, although he has failed to establish himself in the Argentine team under Marcelo Gardallo.

The Mexican interest is due to the fact that Gattoni occupies a non-EU position at Sevilla and the Spanish club would be willing to negotiate his departure. Mexican teams are looking to strengthen their defense and Gattoni is an attractive option. San Lorenzo de Almagro, his home club in Argentina, has also shown interest in having the player.
Gattoni’s future at Sevilla is uncertain, and his departure could take place in the next winter market, since he does not count for Matías Almeyda, who also needs reinforcements in other positions, such as forward and in the role of attacking midfielder and organizer.
