Today a humanitarian flight is scheduled from Cusco to Lima, Peru, in order to evacuate tourists stranded in that city, as a result of the political instability in that country. Through WhatsApp groups, the Mexican embassy organizes affected compatriots so that they can return to national territory as soon as possible.

It is a charter flight, the hiring of which was agreed yesterday afternoon, after a meeting between the consular authorities and the affected Mexicans.
The Mexican diplomat summoned the compatriots who are in these areas, in addition to Aguas Calientes, Pisaq, Valle Sagrado and nearby sites, and who do not have a confirmed flight before December 20, with the aim of communicating to the embassy, to the telephone number +51-987-569-404, or through the chat WhatsApp, to find out about the options available to return to the country.
Through social networks, the Mexican diplomat has requested help with accommodation, food and medicine for groups of compatriots from Jalisco, Mexico City and Colima, who are in Cusco and need support to return to Lima and, from there, board a flight that takes them out of Peru.

Roadblocks and popular mobilizations
In another of the messages broadcast on the chatit is warned that there may be road blocks in the Cusco area for the next few days, so the Mexican embassy recommends traveling to Lima as soon as possible.
Peru has been submerged in a political crisis since December 7, when its congress decided to remove and arrest its president, Pedro Castillo, which has led to popular mobilizations that have been repressed by the Army, causing several deaths and injuries.
