The National District Mayor’s Office refurbished park number 68, located in the Loma del Chivo community in the María Auxiliadora neighborhood.
The mayor of DN, Carolina Mejía, informed that the council will continue its intervention in other spaces since the commitment is to deliver 80 parks and public squares by this year 2022.

The newly renovated space consists of a children’s play area, a gazebo and at the same time offers a general recreation area for the whole family, which provides users with a properly conditioned space for their healthy enjoyment.

“I pay special attention to our boys and girls, and that is why the recovery of public spaces, especially these small parks, are of paramount importance in their healthy development. In these small spaces we teach them not to attack us, to respect us, to learn to live together peacefully”, said the municipal official.

Likewise, the intervention carried out by ADN in the Loma del Chivo Park includes general cleaning of the park and surrounding areas, painting of the space and the facades of the surrounding houses; renovation of the entire children’s area including decorative engraving.

To this is added, the repair of curbs and sidewalks, arrangement of benches, lighting of the park and the roundabout; Placement of various games, trash cans, and a park identity sign, as well as signage that guides the proper use of space.

Several members of the Municipal and National Police will support the care of that space and the people.
