The flow of the Choqueyapu River grew by 88 centimeters, it was the most outstanding event due to the rains, reveals a report issued by the Municipal Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management (Smgir). This made the Mayor’s Office, yesterday, attend 43 emergency cases.
The municipal report revealed that the cause of the cases was the obstruction of the drains, in 31 of the cases attended, in addition to three water leaks in homes.
Rainfall between 6:00 on Friday and 6:00 on Saturday was moderate. “Temporarily strong in the basins of the Choqueyapu, Orkojahuira and Irpavi rivers, which maintains the yellow alert in the municipality,” according to the report.
