The mayor of Tigre supports the re-election of Governor Kicillof

The mayor of the Tigre party, Julio Zamora, spoke this Sunday in favor of the eventual candidacy for the re-election of the Buenos Aires governor, Axel Kicillofand considered that the current provincial leader “deserves the support” of those who make up the Frente de Todos (FdT).

“It is natural that the governor of the ruling party is our candidate and is the candidate to be re-elected”Zamora said.

The Tigrense president maintained that Kicillof’s management “has really coped with a situation of many problems linked to the pandemic and that it only had this year of development.”

Zamora supported a possible re-election of the current governor arguing that in his tenure “he has shown incredible momentum in terms of schools, employment and tourism, in addition to a high degree of development in health during all this time.”

“The governor deserves support from those of us who accompany the Frente de Todos space,” he said in statements to AM 750 radio, the municipality of Tigre reported in a statement.

The court ruling

Regarding the debate over the Supreme Court ruling on co-participation in favor of the city of Buenos Aires, Zamora expressed “concern” because “there are fewer resources for the province of Buenos Aires, which participates with more than 40% of the product and receives a little more than 20% from co-participation”.

At the same time he warned that the “inequalities that emerge in our province” should serve to give the debate “as the Government is establishing within the law, without overwhelming but with a firm voice”.

Zamora considered that the distribution of resources becomes “very inequitable” because, for example, in Tigre “we have a geographical breadth, without counting islands, practically equal to the city of Buenos Aires and we have a budget of 64 billion pesos.”

He said that “we have 500,000 inhabitants against the approximately 3 million” of the Federal Capital, “so the inequality is obvious and it is also noticeable in the degree of development that our communities have.”

Regarding the necessary resources in his municipality, the mayor considered that “Tigre still has open ditches, it is a district that is leaving the semi-rural and is heading towards a much more educated city. It is necessary to work on rainwater infrastructure, asphalt and health infrastructure.
