The president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, the Moreno-born Sergio Gutiérrez Luna, dismissed the impact of his criminal complaint against the electoral advisers who voted to suspend the consultation for the revocation of the presidential mandate and maintained that the case is now in the scope of the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR).

Yesterday afternoon, almost 24 hours after the letter published by 11 electoral advisers, the legislator rejected that there is persecution or intimidation against him, and considered that autonomy cannot be shielding for the INE.

Also, after President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said yesterday in his morning conference that should not be penalized to the directors, Gutiérrez Luna stated that his complaints have already left the field of competence of your position, since they are in the FGR, so that institution will have to issue the appropriate determination.

He stated that, in addition, the chamber will continue with the legal process before the Supreme Court to defend the validity and effectiveness of the Federal Law for the Revocation of the Mandate and the Expenditure Budget of the Federation, pending the final resolution of the ministers.

In turn, the PT defended the claim that, for the alleged commission of the crime of coalition of public servantsGutiérrez Luna interposed.

The PT vice coordinator, Benjamín Robles, said that the INE intends to distort the context of the complaint and it seeks to convert a criminal dispute into a criminal prosecution. He also argued that the Board of Directors does have powers to file the constitutional controversy against the INE’s challenge to the 2022 budget.

Likewise, the leader of Morena, Mario Delgado, said that this political force guarantees respect for the autonomous bodies, but when they act against the general interest any brunette will have the moral duty to defend the rights of Mexicans.

In turn, in a statement, the PRD bench considered that Gutiérrez Luna demerits his position by using the Legislative as a tool to intimidate the INE.
