The Santa Cruz bench of the MAS presented a bill that guarantee the distribution of parliamentary seats for the 2025 electionsThis is how the head of the ruling party bench in that department, Daysi Choque, made it known, who delivered the proposal to the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Jerges Mercado.

“The general and specific objective is that the redistribution of seats can already be carried out in the next elections (2025), which it is what has been requested and it is what we want to guarantee through this bill”, said the head of the MAS bench at the time of delivering her proposal.

The masist proposal it would be the sixth document for the Assembly on the census, despite the fact that there are no legislative commissions formed in the Chamber of Deputies. The president of this instance, Jerges Mercado, said that this, like the other projects, will be considered after the commissions are formed.

Deputy Choque did not want to reveal the content of the proposal, although she insistently mentioned that all sectors should be “socialized”, “We are well aware that there is a need to clarify from Parliament”, he said in reference to the distribution of seats that they are claiming in Santa Cruz.

Choque explained that once the INE has the official results, they must be sent to the Electoral Body and this entity will have to prepare a bill with the new distribution of seats, which can modify the Electoral Regime Law (Law 026 ), that proposal must go to parliament to be approved and enter into force. All this process must culminate before the 2025 elections.
