The national vice president María Verdeal assured that, as long as the productive apparatus and the economy in the country, banking and the possibility of credits in addition to legal security for capital investment, are not reactivated, there is not much to celebrate on the day of the workers
Vindicate the struggle of the workers taking into account the labor principles and what the activation of the tripartite means, in order to advance and land in true collective decisions that until now Maduro and his government have unilaterally confiscated, was the call of the vice president national of the Movement to Socialism MAS, María Verdeal.
In this sense, he pointed out that “Maduro forgets that the revolution ended with the Banco de los Trabajadores de Venezuela, as well as with spaces such as INCRE, Los Caracas or IPASME and IPASMAR in the Barlovento zone in the state of Miranda, recreational centers that disappeared precisely in the hands of your government”, this in reference to the announcements made on May 1 about the possibility of re-founding a workers’ bank and the creation of something he called entertainment and recreation for the working class.
Regarding the announcement of the approval of a single bonus of ten thousand bolivars to retirees between 2018 and 2022, the leader stressed that countless doubts are generated, “Who is going to benefit from said bonus? A single or fractional bonus that will also be granted to a specific number of workers, when what is desirable is that collective bargaining be vindicated and what the tripartite contracts that stopped being carried out by this government many years ago mean.”
He assured that, as long as the productive apparatus and the economy in the country, banking and the possibility of credits are not reactivated, in addition to legal security for capital investment, “there is not much to celebrate on Workers’ Day.”
He urged the national government to reflect on whether it intends to make a turn in labor matters, “continuing to play deaf and dumb and then unilaterally make decisions that end up becoming salt and water compared to the cost of the basic basket is simply a joke.”
He lamented that after more than twenty years of revolutionary governments, the Venezuelan union leadership marches in a dispersed manner to demand wage claims, while those linked to the official sector dedicate themselves to applauding the government’s management in this matter, “when it should be that we were all in favor of the demands of the workers.
