The demonstration in defense of the electoral authority the INE is not touched
It will start at 10:30 in the morning at the foot of the Columna a la Independencia. It will extend along Paseo de la Reforma avenue to stop at the Plaza de la República (Monument to the Revolution), where the first citizen president of that body, José Woldenberg, will address a message as the only speaker.
The mobilization called by 52 civil organizations will also have a replica in 35 cities in the country, and one of them will take place in Los Angeles, California. In Mexico City, its organizers asked people to respond to the invitation to arrive at the Plaza de la República and not to disperse. to document the volume of people who came to protest
against the content of the presidential initiative on electoral matters.
Woldenberg is expected to lead today’s march in the country’s capital, along with representatives of the convening associations, accompanied by former electoral and political advisors such as Beatriz Paredes, Porfirio Muñoz Ledo and Emilio Álvarez.
Behind them will follow the contingents of young people, women and civil groups.
However, those who convene hope that entire families will come to their call and the delimitation of groups will be diluted.
In the later part of the walk, it is contemplated that contingents from the political parties that have joined the call will also participate. The leaders and militants of the PRI, led by the president of the CEN, Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, will gather near the Angel of Independence; the PAN members, including their national leader Marko Cortés and former president Vicente Fox, were summoned to meet on Sevilla Avenue, and the PRD members will participate as the last contingent.
