The Mandalorian: filming of the third season was postponed by COVID

The world is facing a difficult situation due to the new wave of coronavirus infections. Thus, according to sources consulted by the Bespin Bulletin portal, the recordings of the third season of The Mandalorian, a series set in the Star Wars universe, were indefinitely canceled.

Initially, there had been a break for the end of the year parties, but given the situation due to the omicron and delta variants, filming was not resumed. As is generally known, the filming for the new season began in the second half of 2021 with a tentative release date in December, however this news could change the plans of the fans of Pedro Pascal and company.

According to an updated plan, they would have tried to return this week but it was not possible either, more as a preventive measure against COVID-19 than because some member of the cast was infected.

Let us remember that in The Mandalorian, we follow the adventures of a lone gunman in the confines of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic with Grogu, a little boy full of heart and hope who abruptly changes his plans.
