Justice sentenced to 20 years in prison to the man who shot a taxi driver in PandoCanelones, at the end of December 2020, the Prosecutor’s Office reported in a statement.
The man was convicted as the author of a crime of “very specially aggravated homicide”. Judge Natalia Pereyra determined that there is an “absolute certainty” of the responsibility of the condemnedadded the agency.
The crime occurred in the early morning of December 28, 2020. The 66-year-old taxi driver ended a trip in the Estadio de Pando neighborhood. The passenger he was carrying, not yet identified, called with “a sign” another manwho approached the driver’s window with a firearm and He threatened him so that he would give him “the money from the collection.”
